The S3 is a regional railway line of the S-Bahn Zürich on the Zürcher Verkehrsverbund (ZVV), Zürich transportation network, and is one of the network's lines connecting the cantons of Zürich and Aargau.

S 3 Aarau – Lenzburg – Dietikon – Zürich HB – Effretikon – Wetzikon
Operates between Dietikon and Aarau at hourly intervals.
The line runs from the northeast of the canton of Zürich from Wetzikon and heads for Dietikon stopping by Zürich Stadelhofen and Zürich Hauptbahnhof. Some services continue beyond Dietokon to Aarau.
All services are operated by Re 450 class locomotives pushing or pulling double-deck passenger carriages.
The train frequency is usually 30 minutes and the trip takes 55 minutes (to/from Dietikon) or 84 minutes (to/from Aarau). Trains operate between Dietikon and Aarau every hour.
